A Patient with Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media (CSOM) recovered With Homeopathy At Homeo Care Clinic
A Patient Mr. K.K. (Registration Number: – ABR-47) visited Homeo Care Clinic on 22nd January 2022 with the complaint of pain in the left ear, and watery discharge for 15 days. Tinnitus is also present. On examination, perforation was detected. ENT Doctor advised Tympanoplasty but the patient was reluctant to do it.
H/o – Right Ear Tympanoplasty 10 years ago but surgery failed as there used to be fluid discharge coming from the right ear. K/C/O – Diabetes Mellitus on treatment.
Mother has Diabetes Mellitus. Father no complaints. The elder sister has Psoriasis.
The patient is in thins, working in the IT sector was following a sedentary lifestyle. He was a non-vegetarian, thirsty, and had a craving for salt and an aversion to spicy food. More comfortable in the warm season.
Has been a silent person, didn’t like talking much with people, ambitious person who has always suppressed his anger.
After a detailed case analysis, Dr. Vaseem Choudhary prescribed Constitutional medicine for Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media (CSOM). He was advised to follow an appropriate diet and regimen.
Follow-Ups:
After 2 months of treatment on 12th March 2022, Pain while using a mobile phone was present, and Tinnitus was reduced. The patient went to ENT Doctor for checking the status of the ear. There was some improvement seen and patiently carried the image of the internal ear. Perforation improved by 20%
Advised to continue with medicine.
After 4 months of treatment on 22nd May 2022, Pain while using a mobile was reduced, Tinnitus was reduced, Healing of the tympanic membrane was observed more and the record has been maintained. Perforation improved by 40%-45%
After 6 months of treatment on 31st July 2022 – Pain was reduced by 60%, Tinnitus stopped, Healing of the tympanic membrane was observed more and a record has been maintained. Perforation improved by 60%-70%
After 8 months of treatment on 24th September 2022 – Pain was reduced by 100%, Tinnitus stopped, Healing of the tympanic membrane was observed more and a record has been maintained. Perforation improved by 90%-95%
The patient was happy and satisfied with the treatment he received at Homeo Care Clinic and Sir has advised him to stop the treatment after completion of the Dose.
Conclusion:
This case illustrates that homeopathy can treat Surgical cases like Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media (CSOM) effectively and safely within a short time.
Note: If the Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media (CSOM) is for a very long time and has some complications then the patient is better treated surgically. However, even after the surgery, homeopathic treatment can still be considered to prevent the recurrence of Otitis media, as the chances of recurring Otitis media are about 70-80%.
