- Varicocele is termed as enlargement of veins in the scrotum which are also called pampiniform plexus that transports oxygen-depleted blood away from the testicle.
- Usually most common in the left side of the scrotum.
Normal Reproductive System:
Normally Male reproductive system stores and moves sperm. The scrotum is said to be a sac that holds the testicles which produce sperm and also a hormone is known as testosterone .overheating of the testes or defect in the valves of the scrotum which causes obstruction in the blood flow can lead to lower sperm production and function leading to lower fertility potential.
CAUSES:
- Defective vein valves of the scrotum
- Backflow or obstruction to blood flow to and from the testicles.

Grade 0 ( 2-2.5mm)
Grade 1 (2.5-3mm)

Grade 3 (More than 3.5mm)
SYMPTOMS:
- Dull ache and feeling of heaviness in the testicles
- Lump in one of the testicles
- Swelling in the Scrotum
- Enlarged and twisted veins in the scrotum
- Discomfort on standing
- Impaired infertility
- Dull to sharp pain present in the affected part.

Rhustox:
This remedy is well suited in varicocele with continuous itching. Recurrent Fever followed by swelling of the scrotum is most commonly found. It has also been noted that in some cases metastasis of mumps to testis occurs and calls for this remedy.

Hamamelis:
Mostly this remedy is indicated when the person complains of a burning type of pain in the spermatic cord which runs to the testis that is hot inflamed and painful on the touch. Palpable veins are seen on examination.

Nux Vomica:
This remedy is more prone to people who suffer from drawing type of pain in the testicles and spermatic cord. Some men also complain of premature ejaculation. He cannot be in the female company without emission. Varicocele with constricted feeling is also treated by this remedy.

This is one of the best remedies where the main symptom includes severe inflammation of testicles associated with pain that radiates from the abdomen to the testicles.
